It remains for the human being to decide as to the best foods upon which to live. The blood chemistry – “the river of life" - is the major determining factor as to the quality of cellular tissue on which either health or disease will arise. I don’t know how to make it any more simple and still make it interesting. If we make a healthy quality of blood – the blood in turn will feed the best to make high quality cell tissue. The human species is the only species that seems to disregard this concept. We will eat anything, everything and in all states of organization. Perhaps it comes from being told at an early age that we can’t leave the table until everything on our plate has been eaten!!! In his monograph on the subject of natural foods, published in Paris in 1930, Professor Kouchakoff said: "All our experiments have shown that it is not the quantity of food which plays an important role in the alteration of our blood formula. The experiments show that the reaction in our blood takes place at the moment the food enters the stomach." He also said: " The augmentation of the number of white corpuscles and the alteration of the percentage between them which takes place after every consumption of food, and which was considered until now as a physiological phenomenon, is in reality, a pathological one called forth by the introduction into the system of foodstuffs altered by means of high temperatures and by complicated treatments of ordinary products produced by nature.” *.read as: the heating of foods past their “critical temperature” and the alteration of foodstuffs by chemicals.* This article was stimulated by the writings of Paul Kouchakoff - "The Influence of food cooking on the blood of man” by Professor Paul Kouchakoff M.D. (Suisse) Institute of Clinical Chemistry, Lausanne, Switzerland. Published in the proceeding of the first international congress of Microbiology, Paris, 1930 Kevin Hinton has been teaching the art of Natural Living and Natural Healing for over 25 years. He is recognized as one of Australia's leading health educators.
