Potential Love Potions Discovered for Valentines Day

Chemistry has always been one of my favorite subjects. When I was teaching seventh and eighth grade I particularly enjoyed the honors classes in chemistry. I had students that really wanted to learn something and many of them were genuinely interested in the subject and truly respected the profession.

Enough about my bygone years let's get on to the subject at hand. Much has been written on the topic of love potions. You hear about the gypsy formulas that attracts your true love or if you search the net you are sure to quickly encounter links to no less then two dozen different witching spell - all ready to force that love affair with Mr. or Ms Right.

Many people wonder if in fact there is any truth to the idea of love potions. With Valentines day quickly approaching perhaps we should check into these legends. Although I am certain that you will not encounter any sort of magical potions created to force anyone to fall in love you may be surprised to know that chemistry does in fact play a significant role in how a relationship may progress.

The actual non-verbal communications between the sexes represents the initial start of this chemical reaction of love. It is suggested that possibly some of these communications may involve substances known as pheromones, which in effect is a form of chemical communications. We are aware that the very though of acts involving lust tends to raise the bodies testosterone level! Yes, yours is rising as you read these words.

When you catch sight of that love at first sight girl your palms begin to get sweaty and your heart starts to race uncontrollably your testosterone is on the rise. Your knees start to feel a little like rubber while your voice is having difficulties trying to do its vocal job your level of norepinepherine is rapidly escalating.

This emotional high feeling of being in love is most likely due to the rush of phenylethylamine and dopamine that your body may be generating. These chemical reactions continue long after you have fallen deeply in love with the "better half" and returned your feet to solid ground. These cloud nine feelings conveys an abundance of chemical benefits to your body in the form of standardized productions of oxytocin and serotonin.

Suppression of these chemical generations such as vasopressin have been know to cause the male voles to abandon their happy love nests and venture out for more interesting affairs. I guess the act of infidelity on the part of human males must not be their entire fault as its all in the chemistry involved.
