In addition to the chemistry definition, there are also definitions of “colloid” from Physiology and Pathology. These definitions have meanings that are totally unrelated to the Chemistry definition. Products that are only mineral and water are much less likely to be retained and deposited under the skin than gelatinous/protein, saline, and nitrate based products, because of their nature. Evidence indicates that the known cases of Argyria have all been caused by these gelatinous based silver ingredients and silver salts that include: silver proteins, mild silver protein, strong silver protein, silver chloride, and silver iodide. When the word “include” is used, that means that anything not on the list is excluded from the list.
